Stats

Stats increases the power of your character. There are a few different ways to increase stats, including temporary buffs from potions and spells, stats from wearing gear, and permanent stats from levelling up and editing DNA (not yet implemented).

Hit Points

Your character's life force. When Hit Points reach 0, your character dies.

Effect: Determines how much damage you can take

Bonus Damage

Added directly to all damage-dealing spells and debuffs. This flat bonus is applied before any other calculations.

Calculation: Final Spell Damage = Base Spell Damage + Bonus Damage

Applies to: Damage spells and debuffs

Bonus Healing

Added directly to all healing spells and buffs. This flat bonus is applied before any other calculations.

Calculation: Final Spell Healing = Base Spell Healing + Bonus Healing

Applies to: Healing spells and buffs

Hit Rating

Determines your chance to successfully hit targets with spells. Higher hit rating means better accuracy against evasive targets.

Calculation: Hit Chance = (Your Hit Rating ÷ (Your Hit Rating + Target's Evade Rating)) × 100

Effect: If spell misses, no effect is applied at all

Example: 50 Hit vs 25 Evade = 66.67% hit chance

Evade Rating

Your ability to avoid incoming spells completely. Higher evade rating makes it harder for enemies to hit you.

Calculation: Enemy Hit Chance = (Enemy Hit Rating ÷ (Enemy Hit Rating + Your Evade Rating)) × 100

Effect: Causes incoming spells to miss entirely

Note: Healing and buff spells cannot be evaded

Crit Rating

Your chance to deal critical hits, adding 1-100% bonus damage or healing. Works against the target's mitigation rating.

Calculation: Crit Chance = (Your Crit Rating ÷ (Your Crit Rating + Target's Mitigation Rating)) × 100

Effect: Adds 1-100% extra damage/healing (randomly determined)

Example: 60 Crit vs 30 Mitigation = 66.67% crit chance

Applies to: All spell types (damage, healing, buffs, debuffs)

Mitigation Rating

Your ability to reduce incoming damage and resist critical hits. Higher mitigation protects against both regular damage and crits.

Calculation: Mitigation Chance = (Your Mitigation Rating ÷ (Your Mitigation Rating + Enemy Crit Rating)) × 100

Effect: Reduces incoming damage by 1-100% (randomly determined)

Example: 40 Mitigation vs 60 Crit = 40% mitigation chance

Note: Only works against damage spells and debuffs

Luck Rating

Gives you a chance to reroll crit and mitigation checks when they initially fail. Only triggers when no beneficial effects occurred on the first roll.

Calculation: Luck Chance = (Your Luck Rating ÷ Average of Your Crit + Your Mitigation) × 100

Trigger: When no crit occurs on healing/buffs, or when neither crit nor mitigation occurs on damage/debuffs

Effect: Rerolls applicable checks based on spell type

Note: Can result in crit on any spell, or both crit AND mitigation on damage spells

Finesse Rating

Enhances the effects of successful crits and mitigation. Provides additional bonuses on top of regular crit/mitigation effects.

Calculation: Finesse Chance = (Your Finesse Rating ÷ Average of Your Crit + Your Mitigation) × 100

On Crit: Adds an additional 1-100% bonus damage/healing

On Mitigation: Adds an additional 1-100% damage reduction

Example: Base crit does 50% extra, finesse adds another 25% = 75% total bonus

Level Up

When you level up, you increase your base stats. However the NPCs increase their stats slightly more so that the game (should) increase in difficulty as you progress. These scales will be adjusted during beta testing to not make it too easy or too hard.
